HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG acquires the “HangarTwo” office project development in Cologne from nesseler projektidee gmbh

Hamburg, March 15, 2022: HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG (HMG) has acquired the “HangarTwo” office project development on Butzweilerhofallee in Cologne for one of its open special AIFs. the seller is a project company of nesseler projektidee gmbh, which belongs to the nesseler group. The property with around 13,200 m² of rental space and 346 parking spaces is leased to a federal authority on a long-term basis. A DGNB Gold certification has been agreed. After the planned completion in the third quarter of 2022, the property will be transferred to “HMG Grundwerte Büro Deutschland III”. It was agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

“The Butzweilerhof district is an increasingly popular location in Cologne. In addition to offices, apartments, a hotel and new gastronomic offers will be built here in the next few years. The property is therefore very well embedded and also has excellent transport links to Cologne city center and the surrounding area,” explains Danny Seubert, Investment Manager at HMG.

“After HangarOne in the immediate vicinity, HangarTwo is the second office project development at Butzweiler Hof that nesseler projektidee has successfully developed and marketed,” says Melanie Cox, project manager at nesseler projektidee, pleased about the conclusion and adds “with HangarDrei, this success story should start in the spring to be continued in 2022”.

The office project development is located in the district of Ossendorf, in the area of ​​the former Cologne-Butzweilerhof airport. More than 400 companies with around 12,000 employees are based here.
