HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG reports record results again

Hamburg, February 26, 2020. HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG also recorded a significant increase in results in 2019 in all areas of the company.

For the various investment vehicles it launched, HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG acquired real estate in 2019 worth almost EUR 700 million. Person residing in Hamburger are also increasingly focusing on large-volume deals. The acquisitions of the new buildings ‘Euler Hermes Campus’ (Hamburg) and ‘GfK Orange Campus’ (Nuremberg) made a significant contribution to the overall result in 2019 with a purchase price volume of over EUR 150 million each.

Taking into account all purchases made so far, assets under management will rise to well over three billion euros in the next three years.

Following the successful placement of the predecessor funds, three new funds for the residential and office property segments were launched in 2019. The pipeline for further investments in all fund series is also well filled for the current year, and the company forecasts another record result for 2020.

In 2019, institutional co-investors outside of HanseMerkur invested almost EUR 300 million in equity in the open-ended real estate special AIF, the financing fund launched in 2018 and two newly established investment limited partnerships.

The ‘Financing’ business unit closed the year 2019 with an annual loan volume of over EUR 500 million and thus also set a new record.

Lutz Wiemer, Deputy Chairman of the Board of HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG, expects the growth course to continue, but at the same time emphasizes: “The top priority is the best possible management of the properties that have already been acquired and taken over. The fulfillment of our promise of return and the best possible services for our investment partners are our top priority. ”
