HanseMerkur will be the main partner of HSV until 2025

Hamburg, 22nd of Match 2022: HanseMerkur becomes HSV’s new jersey partner. The company will replace Orthomol on July 1, 2022 and will adorn the chests of professionals with its logo until 2025.

This is a targeted expansion of the exclusive partnership that has been in place for four years, with a focus on promoting young talent and family. Eric Bussert, HanseMerkur Holding Board Member for Sales and Marketing at HanseMerkur, sees the signing of the contract as consistent and is looking forward to the increased commitment: “We, as a traditional Hamburg insurer, have continuously expanded our relationship with the HSV over the past four years with great conviction. After we got involved as an exclusive and junior partner as well as a partner of the family block, the step to becoming the main partner is now logical. As part of this, we will implement numerous activities that will help fans and customers experience the HanseMerkur brand.” Bussert also explains: “With the HanseMerkur logo on the jerseys of the Hamburg Pros, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for HSV more than ever for the rest of the season in league and cup. I am convinced that we can still celebrate many sporting successes together. We look forward to a great collaboration.”

“We had constructive discussions right from the start and are very happy about this long-term, Hanseatic connection,” says HSV board member Thomas Wüstefeld, who has personally negotiated the details of the cooperation with Eric Bussert in recent weeks. “A Hamburg company on HSV’s chest is a strong sign and underlines the development of this reliable partnership,” says Wüstefeld.

The agreement between the HSV and HanseMerkur is valid until 2025 and is independent of the league.
