HanseMerkur is a leading European insurer, providing IPMI solutions in the UAE for 20 years, and is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Business Development Manager to join our operation in Dubai and help us grow and develop our business.

The primary function is to increase revenue and profitability in a professional, ethical, and sustainable way.

Role:

  1. Develop and maintain strong broker relationships
  2. Drive conversions and sales
  3. Enhance brand reputation and increase loyalty
  4. Support brokers whilst acting as the link between the underwriting team
  5. Deliver convincing and engaging presentations
  6. Explain and constantly remind brokers of the features and benefits we offer
  7. Advise and support brokers to help them close more sales
  8. Diagnose broker requirements and work with our underwriting team to provide optimal solutions
  9. Negotiate prices and terms
  10. Promote and maintain the highest quality and ethical standards

Moreover, you will:

  1. Develop and maintain your own portfolio of direct business
  2. Attend events, including associations, exhibitions, seminars, and conferences to prospect for direct new clients
  3. Report weekly on direct sales developments and progress
  4. Lead and support team members to improve and develop their skills and effectiveness
  5. Have a continuous improvement mindset and come up with, develop, and implement, new innovations (ideas, products, and service offers)
  6. Respond to more complex customer enquiries
