Tchibo and HanseMerkur cooperate: Insurance with a 100-day money-back guarantee
Hamburg, May 28, 2020. Two traditional Hamburg companies are now working together: Tchibo is now offering on an ongoing basis insurance from HanseMerkur (tchibo.de/versicherungen). The offer ranges from dental and supplementary health insurance to special solutions such as a policy that covers surgery costs for dogs.
HanseMerkur, founded 145 years ago, is a multiple test winner in terms of price / performance and service. With the new Tchibo partnership, the two Hanseatic companies are expanding their offering with a new, innovative component.
100 Day Money Back Guarantee
If a Tchibo customer chooses a solution from HanseMerkur, they automatically receive a 100-day money-back guarantee. This means that he/she can calmly check whether the selected insurance meets his/her requirements – and get back the entire premium paid if he/she is not happy with it.
Tchibo acts as a so-called tied insurance intermediary and is accordingly registered with the Chamber of Commerce. The customer concludes the actual contract directly with HanseMerkur – including all Tchibo advantages. In addition to the 100-day money-back guarantee, there are always time-limited special offers. The medical questionnaire may not be required for example when concluding specific policies. Or customers receive a Tchibo gift card worth 15 euros as a thank you.
Supplementary Health Insurance “Premium”
So until May 31, 2020 there is the additional health insurance “Premium” without a health check. It contains high co-payments for dentures and glasses, takes care of chief physician treatments and one- or two-bed rooms in the event of accidents and 100 euros per year for vaccinations when traveling abroad. The supplementary protection also includes a complete travel health insurance abroad. For children and adolescents, such protection only costs 6 euros a month, for example.
Dog Surgery Insurance
If you want to protect not only yourself, but also your dog, you can get dog surgery insurance from Tchibo for as little as EUR 9.95 a month. Including free choice of doctor and clinic – worldwide.
Tchibo has been offering suitable travel insurance from HanseMerkur for its holiday offers since 2019. With the now expanded partnership, both companies want to further pool their strengths. The new insurance offers are now available on tchibo.de/versicherungen.
Philipp Andrée, Managing Director Marketing and E-Commerce at Tchibo: “We are pleased to be able to offer high-quality insurance in cooperation with HanseMerkur. With this expansion of the range of services we can accompany our customers even better through every situation of everyday life. ”
The cooperation of the two companies firmly rooted in Hamburg is in the interests of the customer. “As a Mutual Insurance Company, we have been serving our customers in solidarity since 1875,” says Christian Herschler, Head of Cooperation at HanseMerkur. “With Tchibo we have found a new, strong sales partner who offers our tailor-made products with the 100-day money-back guarantee.”
Tchibo sold insurance a few years ago, but ended business in 2011. At that time, the group advertised products from insurance partners as a so-called tip provider.
